Our organic certified Chokeberry Fruit Powder has a fruit dry matter of ~ 50 %. It is obtained from drum dried aronia berry juice concentrate and is free from additives. For 1 kg Powder, about 3.1 L of fruit juice are processed. Aronia or Black Chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) is a low-growing, woody shrub in the Rosaceae family. The fruit of Aronia are small, dark-purple berries that are exceedingly rich in phenolic compounds. The major phenolic constituents are Anthocyanins. As a source of Anthocyanins, Aronia Berries show antioxidative, anti-inflammatory as well as liver and stomach protective activities.
